A booking tool. A lawsuit. A problem outside her expertise.

Tami Goldsmith and her husband started their HVAC business in May 2025. Six months later, she left horse training to handle its administration full-time, according to CapRadio.

A website to help customers

The business used Housecall Pro for repair-appointment bookings. That service was later named in a website-related privacy suit, CapRadio reported.

It arrived in February 2026, during a quieter season for the business. Goldsmith now had to understand a claim about the technology behind the site.

A call to the provider
